About Longma Logic
Longma Logic was conceived by our development firm after
observing a gap between 2 development philosophies:
Rapid App Development and Full Stack Development.
Rapid App development is an extremely efficient way of
bringing enterprise level Apps to market in a record amount of
time. This approach can also provide companies with a very
flexible App development environment when being able to
change your workflows quickly without breaking other
components of your App is essential. What is sacrificed in an
environment such as this is typically aesthetics and User
experience.
Full Stack Development, on the other hand, is a ground-up
approach where a team of developers builds an App to fulfil a
business requirement. This will also involve a physical server
either on a rack or in the cloud (AWS) or some other
environment. Typically, these servers are a flat rate and have to
be built / configured to account for the largest expected
volume. This can lead to high hosting cost even for the slowest
times for your business. Also, Full Stack Development typically
takes a long time to complete and often times is not very agile
in terms of making changes.
Landing in the middle of these two philosophies is what is called
“Serverless” technology.
Take the best of both methods and apply them to a new
philosophy and Serverless is what you get. Leveraging Google
Functions to facilitate the communication between your hosted
App (React typically) and Firebase (NOSQL Database provided
by Google) and you end up with a fast to market development
approach with the benefits of having access to all the code. On
top of that, you have access to all of the Google Cloud
Platform’s advanced functionality such as reporting dashboards
(Google Data Studio and BigQuery), Artificial Intelligence etc.
